Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My grandmother co-signed on a house my dad bought. She put up the down payment. Dad died and she wants all the profit. Is she entitled to her half plus the down payment?

It depends on whether or not her name appears on the deed. If she is a full owner without dad, the house is hers. If she is 1/2 owner with dad, she is entitled to 1/2 plus anything she might awarded in probate if dad had a will.
