Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My grandmother died in November 2009 and she did not make a will..the day before she died she was giving me power of attorney, but she died suddenly..I was the only one caring for my grandmother who was terminally ill. My grandparents did not have a will she just had a TOD on her bank acct. which has my fathers name and myself. There is no money in there, but she has a reverse mortgage on her home, in which I'm trying to refinance. I need to know what's the name of the document I need to get my father to sign to release his executor rights since he is the only child? I've spoke with an attorney, but since its the weekend I need to know whats the name of the legal document he has to sign? I also know that the power of attorney would not have made me the executor.

It's not quite that simple. Did your grandmother have any debts? Any other children? Any deceased children? Who else is on title to the house?
