Do the courts require an attorney to file for a non-contested guardianship of body and estate for an adult or can this be done by a non-attorney representative?

The law never requires you to have an attorney; it's good sense that does that.

Even uncontested guardianships are complicated. If you can study up on the Probate Code and meet all the requirements, you can do it yourself.

A party can act for him or herself, but a non-attorney can't represent another party.
