Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Half sister in Texas will not provide me with a copy of my father's life insurance policy and my father had no will. Do I have to hire an attorney to go to probate court to get this information. Thank you, E.D.

If your dad had no will, there would not be an existing probate court proceeding. You could hire an attorney to file a proceeding to try to force your half sister to divulge the insurance policy.
