Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
''Handing Over'' Of Shares
My Grandfather passed away recently, and he left no will. He has Six children whom are all living. His only asset was his home, which I live in and maintain now. Although he declared when he was alive {Several Times} that I was to recieve the house, I know I have no legal rights as I am ''Just a Grandchild.'' Two of his children now have intrest in selling the home. My mother and 1 of my Aunts have offered me thier share of the estate. Can they do this? If they can, can it be done without a Lawyer? And if a majority of the children choose not to sell, can the sell of the house be stopped?

A properly completed and executed QuitClaim Deed will convey your mother's and aunt's interest to you legally.
The sale of the home may be stopped if a majority of the interest-holders declare it.
