Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Never been a happy family & Dad took it all

Mom died 2.5 years ago.The only will anyone ever saw was not signed or complete.Dad harassed his lawyer until he gained access to all of Mom's personal accounts,($200,000+)If there WAS a will,it was never probated,if not, there was never an executor officially assigned, nor a proceeding of heirship,NOTHING official or through the courts, etc. & Dad took it all.At the time,I did not know that intestacy laws would have given me,as the only surviving child,2/3 of her estate. Now Dad is dying,no will,& I understand I will inherit 1/2,& my deceased brother's kids 1/2.Is it too late to pursue my inheritance from Mom through Dad's estate?Do I have any legal recourse now?I know I have to get a lawyer, but don't want to waste the time if nothing can be done.

You have legal grounds. The decision, however, is purely an economic one; is the game worth the candle?
