Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Home Ownership
I bought a house 26 yrs. ago as a single person, my name was (and still is ) the only name on the loan. I still owe about 4 yrs. on the house. I remarried two years ago, but have not refinanced the house, in order to get my wife's name on the loan. If I make a will, leaving her the house and I die BEFORE the loan is paid off, can I still leave HER the house so that she can continue the payments and keep the house, until it's paid for??

Yes, unless you have other children with other wives, intestacy laws will even apply to your case. Contact us if you have any more questions.

Yes, assuming you don't have some court order prohibiting such.
