Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

If I have a house and want to leave it for my sister is there anything I need to do? Can I just put that in my will that I want the house to go to sister? Legal paperwork to fill out? Thanks for any responses. I am in the state of Texas and I have a mortgage.

Yes, you can either execute a will and leave it to her in the will, or you can transfer it to her with an enhanced life estate deed. Either will leave you with ownership during your life, with the ability to sell, mortgage, etc. Upon your death the house is hers.

Either document would cost a few hundred dollars.
