Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My husband passed away, his family took his truck which was to paid off by his insurance which he purchased when he bought the truck. The family had me sign papers saying his sister could have the truck, even though I was not on the truck agreement. My question is my husband has debt that will need to be paid off and I am not able to pay myself. Will the state take truck and sell it to pay off his debts or do I have to get a lawyer to do so? I live in Texas and was recently separated from my husband when he passed.
