Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My husband wrote his current will before we married. He willed his entire estate and life insurance policy to his 6 children. We do not have a will together.
Since our marriage he has named me as his life insurance beneficiary but we have not created a new will. We have attained a large estate since we married. My question is, am I protected by community property laws on the full estate until my death in regard to our estate and since he changed his insurance, am I protected against his children being named formerly as beneficiaries?

No you are not..and yu both should visit an estate planning lawyer ...to avoid unpleasantness which may happen...to simplify transfer of assets..when either of you die...for peace..
Wills are very inexpensive, especially when compared with the costs of not having one (or having one that no longer reflects your situation or wishes)
