Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My husband's grandfather died and the executors are witholding the will and what was left for my husband from him. What can we do? We haven't had contact with his family for years and only found out his grandfather had passed away after not being able to get a hold of him on the phone (we did have contact with him), and then we found his obit online. He lived in California at the time of his death, and we are in Texas. What can we do?

If he lived in California when he died, chances are his will was filed for probate in the county where he resided. Check with the county clerk of that county. You can probably get a copy of the will.
