does the independent administator have the right to sell the home for whatever they wish or does the other family members have any input

An independent administrator is granted powers under the Letters Testamentary and has the right and obligation to distribute assets according to the terms of the will. If any heirs wish to contest the will, then they will need to hire an attorney to represent them in probate court.
