Independent Administrators Fee
What is the difference to receiving funds or selling stock regarding the 5% charge for an Independent Administrators
fee in the state of Texas.Estate is being field without a will status.

The administrator is entitled to a fee of 2.5% of money they acquire for the estate. This does not include cash accounts where the administrator does not have to do any work. The administrator is also entitled to 2.5% for money distributed to the devisees or heirs at law. I don't have case law at hand, but I'd expect it would only come into play where the administrator has to do some work.
