Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Infant Daughter's Rights
My fiancee recently passed away at 24 years of age. I am the mother of his only living child, who is 16 months old. He didn't have a will and I need to know if she is entitled to anything, and if so what her rights are. He owned a home and was completely independent of his parents, who are both still living.

Re: Infant Daughter's Rights
Your child inherits, if you can prove that she's his daughter. Then the estate will go into a minor's trust for her. You'll have to move fairly rapidly and get an attorney to either enter his estate into probate or intervene if his parents have opened his estate.
