My mother inhearited her mothers home thru the will in california about ten years ago. She has been makeing the payments on the mortgage and insurance. But she never took it out of my grandmothers name. Is there going to be a problem? The bank who holds the mortgage recentley asked if my grandma has remarried to give them the info. They asked because the insurance is paid via my mom but so is the mortgage. And has been for the last ten years my grandmother has been deceased. Please help my mother is now paniced.

Yes there is a problem...and if she inherited thru will...was it probated? If so, contact the attorney or another one in California to transfer the property from grandmother to mother...as an insurer "may" try to avoid payments for damage...also for sale or transfer by will..it must be transferred...
