Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
We inherited some plots at Laurel Land. The ladies who had the plots decided they wanted to be cremated instead. The plots were handed down from one lady to the other then to us. The will says nothing about the plots in general, but states we get everything they owned including all properties.
We are being told that we cannot sell the plots because they only can be left to the blood line of the people who bought them. According to some Tx. St Dept or something like that. Can you tell me if we can legally sell the plots? We are trying to settle the estate and cannot do so until we sell these plots.

I have seen plots re-sold in the Dallas Morning News at both Restland and Laureland (it's sister). I would check further. Personally, I have bought plots at Grove Hill and it wasn't from a family member.
