Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Intestate decedent died outside of statute of limitations
I have a client and I'm at a loss of what to do. His wife died 6 years ago, without a will, and he now wants to get her name off the deed to his house. He did not go through administration or any other proceedings to determine heirship, and now is outside of the 4 year statute of limitations. I'm not a probate attorney, but I'm only doing this to help a friend.
Can anyone give me an assist?

Geez, man. If you're an attorney, read up on the Probate Code or send your friend to a probate attorney. First, this is not a complex matter; and secondly, it won't cost that much to have an expert do this job. For some reason, I have my doubts that you're really an attorney.

Heirship affidavits should take care of it.
