my friend has a jeep that was left by his deceased father wich he would like to sell to me.the title is in his fathers name, how do we make a legal sell/purchase,

Your friend may be able to get by with an heirship affidavit. That's assuming he's the only heir, or any other heirs agree that he can sell the jeep on behalf of the estate.
The alternative is to probate his father's estate and get letters of administration.
