Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
I only knew a man for about 3 yrs. I took care of his mother, when he got sick his mother was sent to his brothers. This man I ended up taking care of until his death. He left me some land and control of his estate. His brothers are trying to take over his estate. They placed his mother in a nursing home. He left a trust fund for her, but after her death he left me the rest of his estate, and his brothers get a good some of money. Can they contest the will. It was drawn up and signed in a lawyers office. I live in Texas

they could contest if the documents permit..and you may need to go thru probate but with the little info you have given, I cannot tell..call us if you wish more explicit confirmation..
Any interested person can consest a will. You'll need an attorney.
The brothers can contest the will. Whether they will actually file a contest and whether it would ultimately be successful cannot be answered at this point. Some of the challenges which may be raised against an otherwise valid will include that the testator did not have the mental capacity to sign the will or that there was undue influence being exerted when he signed it. You should hire an attorney to review the situation and to advise you on the proper course of action.
