Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

land probate inheritince

my grandparents bought a piece of land using my mothers life insurance when i was 5. it was in my grandfathers name, and my grandmother changed the deed after his death. My family recognizes her final wishes and agree the land is to pass to me. She died unexpectantly leaving no will, and the land is still deeded to my grandfather. What steps are needed to begin the process of changing the deed into my name?

I would have to research the title on this to give the appropriate procedure. My suspicion is that you would need some affidavits to clear the title to the first set of heirs. Those heirs can then deed the property to you. If everyone is in agreement, then this doesn't have to be an expensive endeavor.
