Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

lawyer's fee for a will

How much can I expect to pay a lawyer to write a will for a benificiary to receive my possessions should I die? Specifically a 401K, life insurance, other retirement, car, other normal possessions. Total estate value is more that 800k but less than $1M.

Re: lawyer's fee for a will

It varies from lawyer to lawyer. Our firm charges $300 for a basic will, and additional $200 if there's a mirror-image spousal will. Since most of your estate will pass by contract, rather than by will, you would be well advised to sit down with an attorney to plan your estate.
