Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Left without a will
My mother died and had no will. The only property she had was 2 cars. Both paid off. She has a bank account with little money in it. What do I do next. None of the children can afford a lawyer.

These matters can be taken care of with an affidavit of heirship. This is a relatively economic process. If you can't do it yourself, find a lawyer.

You can get the necessary forms for the cars from the DMV. The bank may need a slightly different form.
