Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Legal fees of will beneficiaries

It has become necessary for the beneficiaries of a will to seek legal assistance because of a non-cooperative executrix in a Texas County. Can the fees incurred by these beneficiaries be charged as an expense to the estate?

Possibly, if the action benefits the estate. If the executrix has breached her duty, she may be liable. It will be up to the judge to make that determination.
