What is the procedure for updating
Letters of Independent
Administration? My brother died
intestate in 1999. I was granted
Letters of Ind. Admin. for his estate.
I have received a notice of unclaimed
property. I was told I need to update
the Letters of Ind. Admin. to retrieve
the account.

Go to the probate court where the letters were issued. They will help you there.
