Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

If someone has a life estate inheritance in a gas well, can they receive back payments held in trust or only the interest on that trust? Also can other heirs, who have already received their payments prevent the one with the life estate from receiving the back payments in trust?

Visit a lawyer..it depends on what the trust says...but generally payments should be made to owners
