life insurance beneficiary and divorce

My ex-husband had a life insurance policy when we were married naming me the beneficiary. In the divorce settlement it states that he was awarded all life insurance policies insuring his life. My question is, if he never changed his beneficiary, would I still be intitled to his life insurance upon his death?

If he died and left you as a beneficiary, you have a contractual right to the proceeds. Maybe he left your name on there for a reason that we will never know. Good Luck.
