Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

if someone was given a lifeastate on a home,does that person have to live in the house,and can that person rent that house out?.,and not pay the taxes?.

They do not have to live in the house. They can rent it out. However, they will be responsible for paying the property taxes.
