Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

I live in Texas and my twin sister recently passed away. She put me on a joint account before she died. She has another account that was frozen because she hadn’t written down any direct beneficiaries, which should have been her sons. Most of her bills came out of the frozen account. I’m supposed to be her executor but she didn’t have the Will signed. How can I get access to the frozen account to find out what bills are outstanding? Also, am I supposed to use the joint account to pay those bills?

Please accept my condolences on the death of your sister.

The only way to go forward is to file the papers in the surrogate's court to become fiduciary of your sister's estate. Nothing else can happen on any of the accounts or to settle your sister's affairs.

Once again, please accept my condolences on the loss of your sister.
