Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
how do you locate a trust?
I was estanged from my mother for many years. she died in 2000. At that time sister an attn. contacted me 2 days before the funeral. I went. At the grave side. I was in formed by my sis that mother had nothing and that the house she lived in was hers. I later found out it was put in sis's name 9 monthes before her death, and that there was a trust in my name that had been signed over to her as trustee at the same time. resently sis came to my home with papers to sign everything over to her. She didn't want to probate cause there was nothing. But she had a will leaving it all to her anyway. Where can I find out what was in the orginal Trust? Can I get a copy? How can I make her produce the will if there is one?

Anyone with an interest in an estate can get it entered in probate. Then move to have the holder of the will produce it to the court. As to the trust, you can also get court orders to produce the trust since you also believe that you have an interest.
By interest we mean a legal property interest rather than simply curiousity.
