Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Does Marriage Change the Outcome of a Valid Will?

A single-parent is on their death-bed.

The parent has a long-standing will naming the 3 adult children and a soul-mate as benificiaries in a well written document.

The parent & soul-mate decide to get married, with no stated intent to change the will.

Can the new spouse contest the will or otherwise change the outcome of the heirs portions? Will the executor have any problems proceeding with the will?

Thanks in advance.

I can't guarantee that the executor will hot have any problems with probating a will; however, to answer your question any beneficiary under a will has standing to contest a will.
