Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
I have mineral rights and stocks that are in my name only. I do not have a will. Upon my death, would these assets automatically go to my wife?

That answer depends on several factors, including how/when you purchased them, what kind of money you used to purchase them, whether or not they're held in accounts with a beneficiary designation, whether or not you have children outside the marriage.
If you can't tell, the answer is "you don't want to find out." Have a lawyer make a will for you. They're very inexpensive. Do not do your own will.
