Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
If a mother gives up a baby for adoption and signs away her rights, does that sign away the rights of the child also? If the child initiates contact at age 23 with the birth mother, does he have any claim on her estate if she dies?

An order that terminates someone's rights to a child either cuts off the child's inheritance rights (through the natural parent) or it doesn't.
If the natural parent makes a will that cuts off the child ("I leave all my property to Jeff, my best friend") then it doesn't matter what's in the termination order.
