Mother Died without legal will
the rights i have as only child. but she had a husband. My step-father name wasn't on my mother house and i have heirship papers. but people are telling him that i have no rights to anything.

Obviously your're not talking to an attorney. Husband would get life estate in homestead, but you would have the remainder as well as other property she may have owned. You should contact a lawyer to protect your interests.
