Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My Mother is very elderly and I am the remainderman for a life estate deed which may take place soon.
My question is will I be charged a capital gains tax when the deed is transferd into my name?
I do plan to sell the house worth approx $60,000, any thing I should know regarding taxes?
I am disabled and live in Texas.

Capital gains are assesses at the time of sale. There will be no capital gains tax at the time of death.
