Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My mother in law passed away 15 years and owed credit cards. Are her kids liable for these debts?

Not unless they were also on those accounts.

Unless the children were guarantors on the debt, it's very doubtful. Plus, if fifteen years have passed since the last card activity, the statute of limitations would bar the credit grantor's claims.
