Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My mother has made me beneficiary of a CD at her bank. When she dies does this go to probate or do all I need to do is claim this with her death certificate or what. Please advise

If the CD is POD (Payable on Death) or JTWROS (Joint Tenants with Right of Suvivorship) then with a death certificate, it should be yours.. it does not go through probate.
