Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My mother passed away 6 years ago, just found out about some mineral rights do I need an attorney to probate her will now?

It's too late to probate a will. In texas you have to do it within 4 years of death. Depending on what county you are in you might be able to probate the will as a muniment of title. If you are the only heir, there may be other options open to y ou. Also, many time Texas residents own mineral interests outside the state of Texas, ie. Oklahoma. If that's the case here, you would need to deal with Oklahoma law.
