Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My mother passed away about 7 yrs. ago and left no will. Thire are six siblings in all. We are all in agreement to give the resposibility to one sibling so that he may take over a home improvement loan that was made prior to the loss of our mother. How do we go about giving up our rights to just one sibling?

First, probate should be done to give clear title to that one..and the rest could waive interests...so contact any probate lawyer..and if in our area, call us..
With no will and all heirs at law in agreement, there should be no necessity to open probate. You will need affidavits of heirship from the heirs and 2 disinterested parties and then all heirs can deed their undivided interests to the sibling. It shouldn't cost more than a few hundred dollars to handle the paperwork and have the necessary documents recorded in the county records.
