Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My Mother's House

Before my mother passed away a year ago, She hand wrote her will 3 times, 1 for each of us kids. My Step-father is aware of the will, which also includes a paragraph which states that he will be allowed to live in the house as long as he likes. He has kept the taxes current. The will has not been probated. He has signed papers for Homestead and we do not know if that put the house in his name. He has met a woman 26 years younger than him and she has moved into the house and they are planning to get married. We are afraid that if something happens to our step-father, the house will go to his own daughter (our step-sister) and/or his new fiance. What steps should be taken to keep the estate among the 3 of us as mom had planned?
