Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
named in will/responsability
a letter recieved in 1998 names me in my grand mothers will i'm in texas she's in louisiana. im not interested in the monetary issue as much as, i've discovered thru financial mis-managing she's no longer financialy secure what responsability do i have if she's occured substantial debts? one of my sisters is also named but not the other. where do i go for advice.

The estate, such as it may be, would be responsible for your grandmother's debts. Neither you nor your sister would be.
Whoever would administer your grandmother's estate would pay the debts insofar as the assets of the estate would allow. Only if there's money left, after debts are paid, would the beneficiaries named in the will receive anything.
