Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Non-representation
My father died of methsothelioma, and 2 wks after his death my sister & my mother had my brother & I sign documents that were faxed to my sisters job from the law firm handling the lawsuit for my dad. No one from the law firm was there to explain what we were signing. Was this legal? My brother & I were not informed that my mother was going to get hundreds of thousand of dollars. Just wondering. I have copies of the documents and the law firm will not talk to me about this matter. They respond with the fact that they NOW represent my mom.
Thank you for your anwswer.

Re: Non-representation
If you want to continue in the lawsuit, you should take the documents to another attorney.
Re: Non-representation
Of course it's legal, unless you are under 18 years of age or otherwise incompetent.
