Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Null and Void or Not?

My Father passed away recently. My Mother previously passed away in 1986. My Dad had remarried. He decided to sell the house that he and my Mother had built in 1984. He entered into a contract with a couple for a "lease-option to buy" on the house. Now that my Dad is deceased, does the contract become null and void? My stepmother's name is not on the Deed to the house.

Deceased parent's contracts void?

The contract should still be valid, unless it specified that it would not last beyond your father's life. If it is still valid, it is an asset of your father's estate, and belongs to his heirs (determined by his will or trust, or by state law if no will or trust).
