What is the best way to obtain free legal assistance for a will/probate matter for low-income individuals? And should this kind of case even be pursued if it has been over four years ago?

PROBATE ONLY IF NEEDED..ie property..real or bank/insurance reequiring probate.

For free and/or low cost services, you can check with the local law schools. They usually have student attorneys who can assist with matters. You usually have to pay the filing fees, though.
