I signed my oil rights to my mother after my father died, am I able to get rights back before her death?

Re: oil rights

This really depends on what you signed. If you signed a mineral deed which she filed for record in the records of the county where the land is located, in order for you to get the rights back, she must reconvey them to you.

If the document did not properly convey the rights or only conveyed them for a limited time, you may be able to get the rights back.

In any event, you can accomplish more with her cooperation than without it.
