Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Ownership of Property

My father passed in June and left a will that is apparently invalid. His wife of 18 months has taken his truck and done something with it. She refuses to give me the vehicle or any of his personal property. The title is in my name. He has always said that when something happened to him it would be mine. This truck was purchased years before he married his current wife. What can I do to get the vehicle back? Is it mine?

Re: Ownership of Property

You can always bring a lawsuit against her for the return of your property, assuming she hasn't managed to change the name on the title. But you must first send a demand letter to her, certified mail, specifying your property that she has, and the value of that property, and demand the immediate return of the property to you.
