Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Personal Will
Does an attorney have to prepare an individual's will in Texas, or can an individual use the resources found on CDs and the Internet. If so, will this document be valid even if it is witnessed and notarized?

Re: Personal Will
The document can be a valid will if it meets all the formal requirements of a will. You don't need a lawyer, but odds are you will need a lawyer to try to fix all the mistakes that can possibly be made. Maybe not. Good Luck.

I can't speak for the various resources available. If the will meets all the statutory requirements it's a valid will. But if it doesn't, it's too late to fix it when you need it.
Then the attorneys really make money.
