Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Petition to probate court for accounting

Can a petition be filed with a Texas probate Court for an estate accounting in the form of a letter directly by the (out of State) beneficiary? Is an attorney or any special forms necessary? The 15 month period required by the Texas Probate Code since the independent administrator received letters testamentary has been fulfilled. This information was requested by the beneficiary 2 months ago by registered letter to the administrator and seemingly is being ignored. Replies and opinions are appreciated

Re: Petition to probate court for accounting

You can file a petition for accounting with the probate court. It would be wise to serve interrogatories and a request for production to see what the administrator is doing.
