Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

probate - Executor value of estate

Executor valued family member's estate at 5,000, we know this is grossly incorrect. We have an inventory (with witnesses), can we force probate judge to honor the inventory and force executor to return all items. I should have inherited half of marital property as per my father's will? One ring was worth 65,000, there is waterford, stickley, roseville, diamons, pearls, etc. Execuctor cleaned out the house knowing our personal possessions remained in the home as well as deceased's property. Or should we file criminal theft and property damage to our home. Home is now in unsalable or unlivable condition

Re: probate - Executor value of estate

You can sue the executor to have him/her removed. If s/he really messed up, you can further sue for breach of fiduciary duty.
