Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

After Probate....

If someone is listed in the will and the will has been probated (2005), now they think they can come after the estate. They also are demanding life insurance policies. Do we have to disclose this information if they were not listed on policies? And do they have any rights to contest Power of Attorney acts after the person is deceased and the will has been probated?

Re: After Probate....

If the life insurance policy lists the estate as the beneficiary of the policy (rare) then the policy should be listed in the estate inventory, which is public record. If the beneficiary was an individual (common) then you do not have to disclose. The power of attorney dies with the power grantor. You should not use a POA after someone dies.
