Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

probate

my mother passed away and I am her advisor to her will, however I live in Connecticut and she lived in Texas and I am being told I can not be her advisor because I live in a different state, I am also on her deed to her house, do I need to have legal repersentation to probate her will.

If you don't know how to do this in TX, a lawyer can help you get this done effectively. While you can be the executor/administrator, you must have an agent in TX approved by the court in order to admit the will to probate. Contact a lawyer in or near the county where the real estate is located.
